Exposed Stake Pocket Holes on Trucks – My Fix and Solution

I wasn’t a fan of the exposed stake pocket holes on my truck, so I decided to try out a solution. I ordered this set from Amazon to give it a shot: Amazon Link.

A quick tip: It’s best to use a heat gun to soften the plastic a bit before you start. With some persuasion (and a non-marking hammer), they fit just fine. Thought I’d share in case anyone else is dealing with the same issue!

I was considering doing something similar, but I wasn’t sure if aftermarket covers would stay put long-term. Have you had any issues with them popping out over time, especially after temperature changes? Also, does the plastic match the Silverado’s trim well, or does it stand out? If it holds up, I might just have to grab a set.
