Electric trucks are exciting, but the price is so impractical. That 80k price tag is a difficult pill to swallow. Lowering the costs would certainly make them more appealing.

The focus on higher trims for tax credits feels strategic, but it does limit options. Breakthroughs in battery tech are key to broader EV adoption. You know, that $80,000 price tag for that Chevy? It's pretty clear they're trying to push that specific trim because it's the only one that still qualifies for the EV tax credit. Remember how Ford was all about the Lariat Lightning at first? It was tough to even get a Pro or XLT. Now it seems like the XLT ER is where it's at.
I love my Lariat ER Lightning, but even that's gone up by $10,000 since I got it. It's not as much of a deal as it used to be. We really need some serious breakthroughs in battery technology if we want EVs to be a realistic option for everyone.
