I've noticed a strange inconsistency with the side mirrors on the Sierra. While most models have wide-angle passenger-side mirrors, I've seen some, like the RST First Edition, with standard mirrors. I'm curious if this is an intentional design choice or a manufacturing oversight. I'm also trying to figure out how to limit the amount of data the truck sends to GM. I've seen people mention a fuse that can disable telematics, but it seems to affect other features as well. Is there a way to selectively disable telematics without affecting other functionalities? Finally, I'm disappointed that GM removed CarPlay and Android Auto from the Sierra. I'm wondering if there are any potential workarounds or aftermarket solutions to bring these features back. Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like we're stuck with the flat mirror for now until the aftermarket catches up. There are loads of tiny stick-on or clamp-on convex mirrors out there, but none seem to match the full size of the truck's original mirror glass. Guess we’ll just have to hang tight and wait for a better fix to roll in!

Getting rid of CarPlay and Android Auto might end up being one of the worst moves they've ever made.

I will be short in my answers:
1. Likely a trim-specific design choice, not an oversight.
I'm curious if this is an intentional design choice or a manufacturing oversight.
2. Disabling the fuse affects other features, and there is no selective option.

3. Aftermarket head units or dongles like Carlinkit can help.

I hope my reply helps you!
