I finally got my Silverado EV last weekend, and I’m absolutely loving it so far! That said, I have a couple of questions I’m hoping you all can help with.

First, my home charger is set up inside the garage, but my truck is too long to fit with the garage door closed. I’ve been charging it in the driveway with the cord running under the door, but I’m worried about damaging the cord or the door itself over time. What’s the best way to protect both? Anyone else dealing with a similar setup?

Second, I read in the manual that the power folding mirrors should fold in if you hold the lock button for two seconds on the second push. I’ve tried it, but the mirrors just stay in their normal position. Is there a setting I need to enable to make them fold when I lock the truck? The parking spaces at work are tight, and I park next to a Raptor, so folding them would really help.

I’d be cautious about running the cord under the garage door without some kind of protection. It could cause wear on the cable, which might lead to safety risks. A garage cord pass-through kit could be a perfect long-term fix, it’s neat, safe, and keeps the door and cord in good condition. For the mirrors, it’s possible the truck’s settings haven’t been configured for auto-fold yet. Check the infotainment menu under vehicle settings or controls. If it’s still not working, a quick visit to the dealership might clear things up. Keep us posted on what you find!
