Can I use my Tesla home level 2 charger for my 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 EV?

Hey everyone, I’m planning to purchase a 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 EV within a month and need some advice. My dealer says it's fine to use my Tesla Home Level 2 charger, but the GM website advises against using an aftermarket adapter for Tesla chargers. I’m not sure which is correct and don’t want to risk damaging my brand new EV. Any advice please?

I highly recommend following what the GM website says. Using an unapproved charger might void the manufacturer’s warranty of your vehicle especially if you’re still in warranty.
