I absolutely love my Silverado EV RST (2,500 miles in!), and I’ve been charging it overnight in my garage with a Level 1 charger, keeping it between 60-80%. Yesterday, after work, I turned it on in an 80°F garage and watched the charge jump from 60% to 80% in seconds, like the system hadn’t been reading it right before. The dealer and a GM EV specialist had no answers, and now I’m worried about potential battery issues… Has anyone else seen this happen?

That’s definitely strange and the fact that the dealer and GM EV specialist had no answers doesn’t exactly inspire confidence. Could be a battery management system (BMS) calibration issue which might explain why the state of charge suddenly adjusted itself. If it happens again I’d push for a deeper diagnostic, last thing you want is inaccurate SoC readings leaving you stranded when you least expect it.
