Truck can’t detect its GPS location

I’ve run into this issue twice just recently where the truck can’t detect its GPS location, which causes nav to malfunction and disables SuperCruise. When I checked for software updates, it briefly mentioned a communication issue with OnStar. Has anyone else dealt with this or have suggestions on what to check?

GPS isn't always reliable, even though your phone makes it look that way. Things like tunnels and tall buildings can block the signal. Your car's GPS needs to see multiple satellites to work. To figure out why your GPS is acting up, I need to know where you were, what the weather was like, and how long the signal was lost. If it happens a lot in open areas it;s probably a problem with the GPS antenna and you should get it checked.

This sounds like a software glitch more than anything. I’d recommend doing a hard reset on the infotainment system to see if that clears up the issue.
